With all due respect to the USPS, I think she looks tons better without the blue stripe. Now all I need to do is figure out what to do with it. I've never been a "shawl person."

Of course, that hasn't stopped me from putting another order in for some more Koigu. I'm sick. Really, really sick.

Please excuse the giant blue stripe down the middle. The USPS just doesn't understand that Priority Mail boxes have multiple uses. Unfortunately for me, whilst in the process of blocking the living shit out of that shawl, I discovered one dropped stitch. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! As you can see, I didn't go back, frog, and repair. That's what a crochet hook and my knot-tying ability is for.

Mondays suck

Just thought that needed to be said. There is just not enough caffeine in the world to get my sorry behind running properly today. And no, I'm not hung over! That may be tomorrow morning's excuse....

Charlotte's Web is nearly completed! I'm presently doing the crochet border, then it's fringe, then it's blocking time. Yay! The Tamale Toes are now both completed, but I will be blocking the leaves (perhaps with a little spray starch) to really drive home the point. The contest is in three weeks--I'll keep you all posted.

I'm in sock mode right now--just began a new Sockotta sock yesterday. I think I also need to get back to the Cables and Lace Cardigan that has been languishing on my living room floor before I dig into a new summer project of any size. This feeling of needing to complete things will pass shortly, I'm certain of it.

Damn it all, I'm winning that sock contest.

So maybe last year's sock lost the Best Sock Contest at league because it really wasn't truly a golf sock (hey, it had "Tiger" stripes...). This beauty is a golf sock in every sense of the word: it's 100% cotton, ankle high, and overwhelmingly tacky.

It has "winner" written all over it.
