It has been a month. A very long month. There is an old saying that March will come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. Well, it came in up here something like this:

And it's going out like this:

I hate this. I have so much stuff I need to do outside, and not one bit of it will be done before the month comes to a close. Can't remove dead bushes because the ground is frozen. Can't till the garden, because the dirt is either mud or it's freezing outside. Can't go to the driving range...well, I could, but I have no desire to:
A. Swing a club looking like the kid from A Christmas Story
B. Hit off of the mats
C. Hit golf balls that are frozen
The weather pundits are calling for a heat wave next week: 50 degrees. I may need to shave my legs.
The other little problem I had this month with regard to getting anything done was my little foray back to the OR. This time, it was the ovaries that needed to come out. Too many cysts, too much annoying discomfort, and too many worries on my part that something bad was going to happen. So, me and the laparoscope became friends once again. Just like the hysterectomy, I was home the day of the surgery, but unlike that procedure, I only needed narcotics for a day. I was back to work in less than a week.
I am Superwoman. Or SuperNeuteredwoman. Whatever.
Anyone need a Percocet? Or perhaps a stool softener? The top of the fridge is better stocked than Walgreen's.
So, yes, the knitting was plentiful. I finished up the teal cabled pullover, and it's awesome:

I also got started on the Prism kit I got from Stitches West:

It's done in three strands of their Lace Wool. Only one problem: the kit pretty much assumed you needed any size but XL. I was shorted yarn. Not a problem usually, but for whatever reason, this particular shade of yarn is impossible to find. Thankfully, the owner of my favorite LYS was able to track down two skeins, which should be here in a few weeks. In the meantime, I'm plowing through a cardigan on size 11's.
This is part 1 of sleeve purgatory:

I'm using one strand of Miss Bab's DK wool and one strand of Tofutsie's sock yarn. The stitch is one row purl, one row knit into the back of the stitch. It shows off colors so nicely. The pattern is from Chris Bielsma--I love her patterns! Seeing as Mother#$&*(@ Nature isn't giving us Spring any time soon, this sweater should be useful for a while.
Like until June.
