So this sounds like it's going well. Hmmm. You do know just how badly they need good peds up in Grand Rapids, right? Have I mentioned that before? Oh, right. Anyway, there are so many nice places not far from there, too, that need good peds--like Allegan or Plainwell, from what I hear. You want a house on a lake? There are some nice ones that aren't too expensive in that area.

Basically, you can write your own ticket when you're a general doc in Michigan. You know, you should let Manistee know you're thinking of going there--when you interview, they put you in a condo right on Lake Michigan for the weekend and pay for everything! They'll even pay for you to golf there at Arcadia Bluffs (based on that famous one in Scotland and right on the lake) or at Manistee National. It's a good job deal, too, and not too far north for a nice weekend. ;-)
