Comments: Oink

So glad that you are feeling better and that your dad is tolerating his treatments well.

I have to tell you...your swine flu comments cracked me up. I'm a PNP and folks around here think the "piggy flu" is equivalent to insta-death. The media hype makes me crazy. Thanks for the laugh.

Oh, the swine flu scare is driving me crazy too, and I'm not in the medical field at all. I work in the animal end of it...and you should hear the farmers with thier "swine flu" humor...I was amazed when my sister called and said they had an "outbreak" of it in her tiny town. My nephew had it (was able to get tamiflu) and she had it (admitted it was the worst she'd felt ever-no tamiflu for her) but that they were doing fine. The whole conversation was so low key it made me laugh. We joked about how the media was playing it out.

Love to see what you have on the needles as I wish I was more prolific in the knitting department than I am. I'm lucky if I finish a pair of socks lol.

Glad the dad unit is doing so well. Been down the cancer road with a parent and know what you're going through (somewhat.) My best wishes are sent yours (and his) way.

Glad to see the update-thanks! I was concerned about the collective health of the family when we didn't hear anything...

The vest is just right...I normally think stuff like that is overdone (just because you can doesn't mean you should) but that just looks...right...I'm impressed. The fact that it fits and looks good on you...well just WOW! You've also managed to make the Noro look good too and I 've never understood the big deal with that either (I guess I am pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to handknits for myself).

Love the sweater you've started...I have had that one bookmarked too...after five or six or eleventy others in the queue...

Swine flu? I'm enjoying being over fifty...if I get it, I get it...no big deal...it's flu season...I could go on and on about how kids don't go out and play in the dirt enough to bulk up their immune systems but I'll leave the soapbox for you :>)...
